A caelo ad terram (Del cielo a la tierra) es el título de esta obra y un aforismo recogido en Los Adagia de Erasmo. En él quería recopilar una parte del saber antiguo. Significa algo así como "de un extremo a otro".
Lo realicé hace una semana cuando tuve que vivir -por motivos personales- en una urbanización próxima a Sant Sadurní d´Anoia. Durante esta semana estuve pintando y enfrascado en la lectura de varios libros, entre ellos se encontraba uno sobre pintura china (Vacio y Plenitud de Françoise Cheng) que me sorprendió muchísimo. Palabras clave: Dualidad, vacío, intercambio, desequilibrio, compensación, retroalimentación, cielo y tierra. El Dao (tao).
El hecho de utilizar materia es una forma de valorizar el lugar que es la pintura, desmarcándola de reproducciones. Pero no quería caer en el sinsentido de materia por la materia (sin duda una actitud rococó), quería que fuera participe de la génesis de la obra y que estuviera ligada a su sentido como la lectura de Heidegger me ha enseñado.
